One side I can poor cereal into the other I can play the drums, strange looking coin with the lettering sinking into the coin. Would this result from inconsistent pressure from on side, when the coin is pressed?

It would have to be PMD. The coin is struck on both sides at once. It would not have this shape from the mint.
