SsuperDdave Moderator United States 23522 Posts	Posted 05/12/2012 3:46 pm I'm thinking it's NT in a relatively benign album, but a particularly nasty atmosphere. Perhaps a framed board with the wrong finish on the wood? I've experienced lesser degrees of toning like this, leaving Morgans to sit out on my (relatively new) desk for extended periods. My guess as to the toning was it was at the end of a roll with the wrapper folded over the coin instead of being crimped.....just a thought. Report this Post to the Staff

Yeah, that's plausible in the right atmosphere, especially if the wrapping paper were the culprit and it was stacked with a lot of similar rolls. It'd explain the darker patch at PLURI. I can see how it'd look nice under the right lighting - I'll bet the lower half would jump right out at you, lit axially. Too far gone to dip safely, though. Report this Post to the Staff
