Hello,
I'm still learning how to identify and tell the difference (and actually remember) between different things like Cuds, chipped dies, greased dies, basic PMD, etc.

For this coin I'm wondering what is going on inside the '9' in the date and what in the minting process caused it. I'm assuming this is nothing too special and there's no premium for this example of it -- I'm more interested in the what and why.

Thanks!

Cool find. They are nice to keep when they appear in the letters or numbers.
