Peter, not at all gullible dude. Thats why sets like that have value. There are folks like you that cant easily put a set together on their own.

Really, your not gullible at all. Honestly, if I collected those coins I would have probobly bought the set the instant I saw it.

Its darn hard to find common US cents over in Australia. I got a couple wheats today but they are far and few between. For $20 shipped to Australia its not a bad deal at all.

IF you did this yourself, you could theoretically put this set together for next to nothing.

But for $15, it is by no means a terrible deal. Considering someone else took the time to do all the work for you, that is basically what you are paying for here.

No it's not.
It's impossible, these do not circulate in Australia so the ONLY way we can get them here is to buy them from The US.
Compared to our own 1 and 2 cent copper coin sets the US counterparts are dirt cheap and readily available in good grades.
I have just bought these and am very happy with my purchases.

Nice to hear from someone who actually bought it *cough* *cough*

These may be as common as sand on the beach in the US but they are not over here.
I will guarantee that you won't be able to get a set of Aussie pennys for $20-$30 in these grades.

Its paying for convenience and because of location.

One way to view it is that Peter saved the cost of a flight to the states and back :P

There are more thaan one kind of coin collector anyway, for some they want to get maximum value for their $ and want to buy every individual piece for less than its worth. Some others want what they want and will pay whatever it costs to build their collection and mosst are inbetween...not minding to pay a small premium but expecting to take a small loss in the short term.

For a collector in Australia, I think it is a pretty good deal.
