My first Canadian coin I found was a looney ($1) coin. This in 1993 or 94 on the banks of the Hudson River around Albany. I thought I had found my first gold coin. Others have been found in the area about 1 mile away.

@ pocket change50, the Royal Canadian Mint boutique store in Vancouver sells the albums, and have it from the 1 cent to the $1 coins.

Coins plus thanks for the info, however, I live in Alberta and don't know anyone in van. I love your silver dollar display, it gives me something to strive for. I like the fact these albums start from the penny on up! I'm trying to
Figure out the proper storage and display method. I've gone almost crazy reading about all the bad things that can happen to improperly stored coins!! I'm ready to pull my hair out. I've read so much on this forum. Having handled change all my
Life, I had no idea they were so delicate. I understand about the cotton gloves , I've been around clothing archives in university . I had no idea coins were so finicky. Rox

I bought the 1919 nfld 25c today. They make a good pair. Like them together in the capsules. I have been looking for a mate for the 1917 for a while now. Bought it local.

That 1945 looks like an ms65.

Too bad its price jump isn't huge like some nickles.

I'm always tempted to resubmit mine but for the time being, they're staying put.
