@SPP I wasn't really familiar with these test tokens, but after doing a wee bit of research, I must say that is a great catch! And I learned something! Thank you!

Although not truly a coin of Canada, but rather a pre-Canadian token, here is an item that I picked up on ebay. An imitation Tiffin token. It's worn. It has a rim dent. But it's my oldest North American piece. Although the date shows 1812, I understand that these were produced and in use in the 1830's.

Two lovely coppers I added to my collection in the past 2 weeks. The 1850s Bank of Upper Canada St. George and the Dragon tokens are quite difficult to find in true MS condition. This example exhibits wonderful blue tones and original luster. The 1919 Large cent is a design (particularly the circle of leaves) that I have always really loved. The color is also quite appealing to my eye.

1858, dipped a long time ago and trying it's best to retone. Technically, still a high grade coin. Not a scratch on the reverse but a rather thin and long die break running from the left of the number '1' of the date all the way to the opposite rim.

Wonderful die clash seen above her head on the 1859 DP #2.
You say that that beautiful 1858 had been dipped..?
What would it have been dipped in to give it that somewhat bright effect? Was it possibly a silver coin dip..?

Bought a roll of Canadian quarters for $20 US cash and $13 US in trade (coins and a note picked up in my travels). Here are the first half.
