Quote: At that price.... that was a steal!! You never see them that cheap... Robert Kokotailo of the Calgary Coin has a 1954 NSF PL-66RD for $2850 right now. I went in and saw it last week. Anyway, here's my most recent purchase. Enjoy:

The thread has hit a halt for almost a week now. I'll start it again with this one I just got: 1896 ICCS VF-30 Newfoundland 20 Cent, Obverse #1, Small 96 in an old embossed ICCS Holder (With a 5 digit Cert instead of the 6 digit we see now).

My newest purchase, from the Canadian Legacy Auction (Moore)... it is already in my PCGS Showcase gallery of nickel dollar errors. This is a 1980 nickel dollar struck on a 4.97 gram nickel 25c planchet. http://www.pcgs.com/SetRegistry/sho...aspx?sc=1621

A great purchase. The Legacy auction was a great opportunity to pick up some truly one-of-a-kind items. BTW - your PCGS Set Registry is impressive.

This is the variety spp wrote about in the January CN Journal. Hub doubled obverse noticeable around REGINA.

Good catch... The splitting of the serifs is easily seen... looks to be MS-62 Red-Brown or so...

Is the hub doubled obverse harder to find than the reverse?

I think most of the Doubled 1967 or Doubled CANADA are only MDD. I'm not aware of a DDR but SPP will know better.

...and I like the newer varieties found in the large cents. Here's my 1890H legasy pick up.. This "I" in DEI is very interesting,..especially when compared to the 2011 Charlton's example on page 327..
