DEVLEC, have you finally gone through and digested that exceptional lot of large cents you picked up at Coin Expo?

Firsty...SPP..Your above purchase is a great and very rare one..but there were many rare ones that didn't sell.
I spent a lot of time viewing a ton of old grungy cents. By my estimate,.. most were of very low grades in those large lots and all that I got to find was one "full T"(76) in the whole selection of large cent lots. Everything else were mainly vanillas...
Small pickings by my estimate and I didn't go after any of them.
I did buy 2 cents that were on view for that auction with one showing above here.
There was also a very,..very..interesting 1885 5 cent(triple RP 5 with a large 5) piece(listed as a sm 5/5 by ICCS.?).. that I moved over to Michael Findlay to view. His comments were very interesting ....and it sold for a bundle..

The letters "I" were re-punched and therefore different on almost every 1890 obverse die. In my book on 1890H and 1892 cents, I catalogued this obverse die as O2V-A4. It is actually one of the most common 1890 obverse dies.

Thanks bosox....and Andrew....
....still a very interesting piece of repunching in that "I". Your book states that ~9% came from that O2V-A4 die.

I love this coin. In fact, I just bought this one as a second because it was such a good price. I offered $29 + $6 shipping. It doesn't show it on the ebay ad, but it came with case, stamp and that gold plated medallion stamp. http://www.ebay.com/itm/19125162127...RK:MEBIDX:IT

I see beater ones like that one you got go for well over $100 US. Yours, of course, is far above that.
