It is called a partial tilted collar because the collar that restrains the coin is not fully in place when the coin is struck.

It is not a partial collar error, that is an error that would affect more than just one single reed. The coin was struck fully in the collar but the collar was slightly damaged, part of a reed was broken so it was not formed on the edge of the coin when it was struck.

Yeah your right biokemist6, I don't know what I was going on about in my previous post, the only reasonable excuse I can come up with is i'd just been sorting my errors into groups & the partial collars were the last ones I was looking at,maybe I still had my partial collar goggles on LOL

I guess it's just like a Cud, part of the collar die reeding has chipped off. I have never seen nor looked for something like that with the reeding before. Interesting but not something I would pay more than a dollar for.

To be honest I have never bothered to look for this .
I have some 10 cents with very weak reeding but I picked that up just handling the coin and wasn't actively looking for that fault
