I knew these type of error are getting more popular but WOW & no date,if I were the seller I would be more than happy with the interest & bids after starting it at $99,i must admit when I put this coin in my watch list I was sceptical that it would even get a bid.
It would be interesting to see how one as spectacular with a date would go.

I was prepared to pay $123.21 only because it was in EF on the reverse. But pass...more money in my pocket.

They also sold the http://www.ebay.com/itm/19067404786....m1423.l2649 for a very reasonable price. I decided to save my money as beautiful as it was. I have one with a visible date, whereas this one was more attractive with no date. If anyone here won it, wait & see how stunning that coin is in person.

PurplePenny, you didn't get the "MIS-STRIKE ERROR COIN - TWO DOLLARS date unknown" or what we know as a Double Strike?

I have seen that $2 in person.
It is very nice, and I think someone got a good buy.

I also agree that the $2 was/is superb but did'nt have the spare folding to have a go at it unfortunately.

I have a $1 indentical to that^^^^^ one only in VF so it must be worth $70 $80 at least.

Didn't bid on the $2 double strike, Markn and I already have one each and we wrote the CAB article. Now if it were a MOR $1 I'd be all over it.
