a friend has a 1956 Lincoln that looks silver coated or dipped in silver I don't know anything about it he wants to sell it to me is it worth anything or just a science project lol

i just looked around the net and it is probably coated in mercury ill get a pic and put it up

Not worth more than one cent with a coating on it. It is ruined as far a being a collectable.

Unless it is a cent on a dime planchet. See if the devices near the rim are on/over the rim?
