Warning! I got my new Dino-Lite Basic and I'm trying it out.

I love this new microscope. Up to 200x. Anyway, can anyone see doubling on the bottom of the "2" or on the "9".

I'm using this link as a reference. I see that not all the details are the same so it might not be the same DDO.

Whatsthedillio... I CANT GET ENOUGH of my microscope... I am not sure if that is doubled.. the experts will know LOL.. BUT... I will say this, sometimes the Dino-Light, is too strong, and makes things appear larger than life! Also in my experience, when you move it a certain way, the lights and shadows created make things appear as they are not!

I have been most successful at finding errors with normal loupe 10x magnification, or checking what I thought was an error from the microscope by confirming it with the loupe. Make sense?

the over all dimentions appear normal. The multiple lighting floods the coin with too much light for close ups. With full image shots it works better. But close, it's a downer. Is the light source hot? If not you might try covering the multiple lights to get ot down to one and that will look better. Because of the multiple lights the light and shadows suffer.

Thanks for the advice. My Dino-lite has 4 led lights so I covered 3 of them. Now I get a better image. Now the little line on the number 1 in the date is revealed to be a die crack. Neat.
I'm using my 5x and 10x loupe and when I see something that has some potential as a double I can check it out with the Dino-light.

On another forum A photographer used a cut in half ping pong ball to difuse the light. That sounded different?
