Wow, I missed this thread, nice load of silver, up to 30K plus, still no reserve cleared. Gonna loose a sick amount to ebay an paypal. like BH1964 said why not take the 35K from APMEX an call it a day....

Does an individual have to pay tax's on something like this.I mean say he bought everything 10 years ago and paid 15,000 and sells it now for 35,000 Do have to pay a tax? Will the feds come after you?

Will the feds come after you? Yes, that is a taxable event and probably at the 28% collectibles rate on the difference between the buy and sell prices. While private buyers would probably not be too concerned about that aspect of the sale, a business would be.

Other than the IRS and the federal tax they collect, any number of local governments, such as states, cities, and counties may also be interested in grabbing some tax money in your location. Such laws tend to vary considerably from one area to another, so it's best to check them out for your specific area.
