I just got a couple tires, they printed my receipt on an Okidata pin printer. The lady said they just bought it, and they're not cheap.

Some people are set in their ways eh. Well look at like this, it can still do its job 23 years later, which speaks of its simple design which is nothing more then a digital calculator an file cabinet....

No way you can tell me these behind the time businesses have all the info they need at their finger tips, via one of those bad boys, as I am pretty sure it is not internet compatible, rof....

That's not all that unusual in a business that uses multi-part forms. They need the impact type of printer to make the carbon copies.

I had an Oki printer way back when. It was well built and did its job. My 1st printer was an NEC PC-8023. Now that is reaching back a ways! It was right up there with my 300 baud modem with 110 baud teletype compatibility. lol

Wow! Old DEC hardware running microVMS. Professionally, that was a bit before my time.

But, hey! Just like those dot-matrix printers that never seem to go away, people like what works!
