I'm thinking it is a struck through error. (debris) But maybe something the chamber that prevented the strike up cause you see it on the rim as well. The line NE from the area looks like it was attached to the debis? Is the reverse looking normal opposite the anamoly in question?

Struck through something really irregular... Looks like it had frayed edges. Maybe it was a hairball.
