Quote:I think that's a gross generalisation and possibly offensive. For every properly graded coin on the Australian
ebay I'll show you a badly over-graded one. Over-grading has nothing to do with nationality, mostly with to do with either ignorance or greed.
Settle down old mate I have no intention of causing offence .
Both of these sellers are highly regarded
the US seller has feedback of 15281 at 100% and is a top rated seller
the Australian seller has a feedback of 1908 at 100% and is a top rated seller as well.
Both sellers posted great pictures of their coins and I was able to judge the grade by them before I bid.
I judged the 43 to be VF+ - aEF and the 54 as UNC or better.
I have bought countless Australian coins and I personally have found that the better sellers in Australia have a consistent quality as to the grading of their coins.
Most of the Australian coins I have bought from other countries have been a bit hit and miss in this aspect.
I don't know why, maybe they come across a heap of average Australian coins most of the time ( Like us ) and when they get a half good one they assume it is UNC.
I know there are a plethora of over graders with lousy pic's out there but these sellers IMHO were genuine in there ideas of the grades were to the best of their knowledge.
This is the flip the 1943 came in and wasn't in the pic's listed.
