I have $300 in dollar coins and I would like some opinions on whether or not I should break the rolls. I have looked on ebay and the rolls do not seem to be bringing much of a premium. Thanks in advance for helping me decide.

Why not open a few ? Save a Few , spend a few ? ..

Good luck which every you decide ..

Last time I picked some up , I kept 5 rolls sealed . opened 5 and kept a few out of it that were nice or just had the type a-b edge lettering .. just for my sets .. then spent the rest that I didnt need to hold onto ..

Adams 2009-Polk, Harrison, Taylor, and Tyler 2010-Pierce, Fillmore, and Buchanan 2011-Grant I am a roll hunter, so the idea that there could possibly be a decent error or variety in these rolls has ate at me for a while, I usually look at them and do something else, sort of out of sight out of mind.

Everyone saved these rolls so there are a lot out there. I would open them and look for errors and varieties and any high grade and keep those and spend the rejects. John1

I would want to open the Washington rolls, since there could be some plain edge ones in there. A long shot, but still something I'd like to check for. The rest, probably have no errors and are worth spending.
You could try and sell some in the selling section?

Thanks to everyone for the responses. I plan on opening the Washingtons first; I have wondered about that roll for too long, and the rest will follow. I will post any errors or varieties in the appropriate forum. Thanks again for the responses.

If you plan on selling them, that roll of Washington might bring a nice price. I'm just saying.

I have opened them all and there were not any errors or varietys of any kind. I kept some from each roll. The rest are as good as spent. Thanks everyone.

If you are a roll hunter, you hunt rolls. No reason to stare at them and wonder.
