Hi Guys,

I was going through two bags of my Dads wheats & early memorials and found this. I was wondering if you could confirm or deny based of the pics of this coin if there truly is a second 'D' mintmark to the West or not?

Thanks!

(multiple pics, same coin)

I was using the following as my comparison: http://www.lincolncentresource.com/...61Drpm1.html

In regards to the coppercoins.com link, in the bottom 3 photos, are those showing other potential indicators to look for when identifying this coin? If so, I'm not exactly sure what they mean.

The photos beneath the images of the attributes show areas where specific markers can be found to help identify a questioned coin as being from the same die as the listed coin. The description of what the markers are can be found in the text to the left of the images above the value guide.

Thanks, I was missing the description.

I don't know if I believe it, but I think some of those indicators are matching up. Even if I did take full pictures of the coin, I don't think my setup is accurate to show some of the fine scratching.

"A series of NE-SW die scratches from the back of the head to the RTY of LIBERTY." I believe I can see these.
"Nice X shaped die scratch below the first S of STATES" I can see it very clear, just like the picture
"3 NW-SE die scratches below the 2nd T of states." I don't really see these
"Die cracks and chips on column 12. Reverse is MDS." I'm unsure, area is pretty worn/damaged

Thanks all. I'm pretty excited! This is my first variety find besides a couple WAM's and the small dates which can be found in circulation.
