Made it for me to track my own stuff. I got rather tired of having a physical ledger, and wanted something that I could use to provide me detailed information, and act as a historical record for me. I figured I would share, took me about 3 hours to make, so if someone finds it useful, then I'm Happy. Only real stipulation is, you need to use Google docs. Some of the logic and formulas are specific to Google Docs. I'm sure if you're savvy enough you could translate the logic to Excel / OOO. You can view it without an account, and if you want you can save a copy for yourself. You must be logged into a Google account though. Enjoy! They do. They are imported from coininfo.com. Its the same imported table as what is on their front page, right side.
On the data tab, find the table, and look at the formula for the cell "Metal"

I like it. Spreadsheets for me are personal creations; part of the fun of collecting -- you tailor your tracker/spreadsheet to your needs. As such I like to create my own, but I think yours is very serviceable. I do like the detail you include such as premiums, spot prices, etc. How about tax and shipping, credit card fees, etc. where applicable? Do you factor that into the premium? How about purchase method/location (APMEX, ebay, local dealer, CraigsList, etc)? I like to keep track of where I bought my booty. And how would you handle trades/gifts? I guess you could/would zero out purchase price & premium or sold price & premium.

Quote: any way to have the current spot values automatically update? Yes, literally just added it. Kind of a work around, but I couldn't find a better way to do it.

Added a Current S:G ratio indicator Added "What If?" field that reflects across the entire summary page. Added "location" field on the inventory pages to track if an item resides in separate physical locations.
Considering what a pain this is to "update" as I make changes, I'm considering rewriting it as a desktop or web app, that points to some external data source. Either a spreadsheet or database.
If you want to update from an older version, all you need to do is add the location column to your old version. Add the required number of rows to the new version. Copy and past the inventory lists to the appropriate tabs. Make sure the rows you add are above the hidden row. This is to make sure the formatting, data ranges, etc stay intact for subsequent rows.
