Are you still collecting ATB 5oz bullion version coins ?

APMEX now has the 2012 for sale. MCM and Provident can't be far behind.

There will be some sleepers with really low mintages

I was collecting the 2011 ones, but the lack of information from the Mint has turned me off of them a little bit. I collected the Proof versions though and do hope that they come out this year as well. The mint really does need to be better with their information though. Even a simple note saying to expect them in the summer or fall sometime would be more than sufficient

I was thinking of collecting them back in 2010, and then silver took a big jump up, so I decided not to buy them. Silver is too high for me to buy them now. Too much of a risk in losing money on them, since they are just bullion.

Thats my biggest fear, is that even the collectibles will be priced at bullion at some point. Idk. but $25-27oz has firm support barring any mfg production slowdowns as we see in China and elsewhere. Prognosticating is not one of my real strengths though, since we could see $12 more likely than since it is more "industrial" pm.

I just think back to the premiums put on gold bullion proofs have shrunk to bullion pricing over the years. However, gold is a diff. metal altogether.

Well, if you are collecting for investment or to reap some decided return, you'd do better with certain stocks in your portfolio than PMs or numismatic coins. Most of us collect because we enjoy the darned things and don't mind losing value every once in awhile. Coins are not exactly liquid commodities with an agreed on fixed buy/sell price. You can make a ton of mistakes in the coin market as a newbie collector, if you don't know anything about grading, pricing, varieties, etc., and there are plenty of dealers who make a living off of unsuspecting buyers, as well as honest ones. Read up on the hobby before spending a single dollar. As to silver dropping to $12/oz., the easy answer is just don't buy any until it does.
