While roll hunting found this curious coin.

Take a look for yourself, but it appears to be either a doubled die or a strategically placed die gouge. I tried to look it up on coppercoins advanced search, but every time I hit the next button to go to the next page for the date it would send me to 1910 or 1927 cents or something like that ugh... anyways... pleasse let me know your thoughts.

Are you talking above the statue, it looks like a gas bubble. I had the same problem yesterday on CC's site. I e-mailed him and told him about but have not heard back yet.

Coppercoins are changing the site to a better and are working on it now. They might take more time to get all the bugs out of it. So bug them. They are busy.

It's hard to say about this one. I would mark it and have someone look at it before you throw it back. It might be a DDR or just an air bubble like John1 stated? There appear to be several raised areas on your coin in that area?

Thanks John1 - this doesn't "feel" like an air bubble - even though I can't obviously feel it.

Coop - yes there are several slightly raised areas underneath the statue and extra thickness around some of the bays. I will try to get some better images - this darn Celestron is killing me with all the light (and I've covered all, but one LED)

Doesn't look like hub doubling from these images. I would still keep it though. You would kick yourself it is turned out to be something late and spent it.

This appears to be a gas bubble in the plating.

I corrected the issue with coppercoins.com - a new, changed file had accidentally been uploaded to the old server. I had to restore the old program with an old copy of the file and all is well.

Mr.Daughtrey thanks for the fix. I had run into the problem but figured it had something to do with the rework so I just muddled through. I figured it would get fixed sooner-or-later.
