Just thought I'd say I'm kinda disapointed with the product. I bought 100 units from wizard supply for 27.50 I can't speak for their longevity but they're pretty flimsy. Unless you plan on putting your coins in an album you end up with a pile of encapsulated coins that are pretty much unorganizable without buying another storage product.

I'm sure most on here already know that or know what they are good for, but anyone who is thinking about buying them may want to consider 2x2 or sheets instead. That's what I'm going to try next, seems like they will be much easier to organize my mess with

I don't have any of these but "very nearly airtight" sounds useful.

Good to know.

I have never used them, but always assumed they were used to protect the coin (being virtually air tight), rather than as an actual holder (relying on a 2x2 or album for that).
Rest in Peace

I had my Quarters in cointains, I figured that since I was going to use a large number to house them all I'd give it a shot. Within a few week I was highly disappointed and tired of picking up the fallouts and chasing the two halves of the cointain around the floor. 2X2's were a much better solution and all of the cointains were retired...Permanently!

Well what seems obvious to the versed numismatist (?) wasn't obvious to me. I didn't think about storage and I find I like to look at my coins :) When I was pressig them onto cents the inside face actually got scraped by the cent, distorting the view. Also if you press them on from the sides they tend to encapsulate an air bubble and then pop open at some point, leading to COINAHOLIC chasing his coins around...

If was not really obvious to me. I just had my suspicions based on what I could see about them.

Many will definitely learn from your experience and we appreciate you sharing it.
