I have some boxes of zincolns. I wrap the outside of the box with kitchen plastic wrap, the thin clingy stuff just to keep the atmosphere out. I'm assuming that the plastic wrap can't harm the coins?

I don't see why they would be harmed by the plastic wrap.

I'm pretty sure we always use glad cling wrap and the ingredient is Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE).

But I wanted to ask because some are made of pvc.

Normally anything used for food should be safe for coins. People wrap food in that stuff all the time. Of course since there are so many people in hospitals, you never really know.

Kitchen wrap and common plastic bags are made out of polyethylene.
There is no chlorine in their chemistry, and so are inert. They won't harm your coins.

PVC is anopther matter It is poly vynyl chloride and as the name suggests, has chlorine in it's chemistry. There is also a softener in pliable clear PVC, which can gas out over time. Both of these components in PVC can be injurious to coins.

Hovever, even PVC can be used for temporary storage of coins, but I do NOT reccommend PVC as a material for long term coin storage.
