I got an order form in the Sunday paper saying I could get 20 uncirculated Presidential dollars for $20 with free shipping and as a bonus I would get 2 uncirculated 2010 cents. I will definitely be taking advantage of my "limit one per customer." I thought this was pretty impressive considering I actually MAKE 2 cents off the deal. I wonder why they want to get rid of them so badly?

They want to get rid of them because they're sitting in the federal reserve because a lot of people don't want them.

Welcome to the world of having your address resold for profit and Coins-On-Approval mailings that are next to impossible to stop

Awww. I used up my "only for new customers" thing at littleton a few years back. I got all the dollar coins (Indian) from 2000-2009 for 10 dollars!

Plus they are paying for postage, so it is costing them a lot more than 2 cents of their money to send them to you. Try using someone else's address then. Or maybe they only keep addresses for a year or two? It wouldn't hurt to try it. But Littleton is famous for the coins on approval. Usually you can stop it after the first shipment and I think they pay return postage now?

I wonder if this is just the first step in a snail mail version of 'phishing'?

Go for it if you don't care about a massive pile of mail. Ever hear about that guy in, not sure but think it's Wisconsin, that heats his house with mostly all junk mail. He sends in for all of those type of promotions. If free, why not as long as you have a place to burn them all.

Maybe it will increase your snail mail----maybe not. Once again just today I listened to a radio news program while I was driving for several hours. There remains a huge problem with the usps. The fed bailed them out again this week avoiding huge shut downs of small post offices. It often makes me wonder what shape they would be in if everyone paid the same to mail a letter (regular v. bulk rate, etc). Either way, I might go for it if I really needed the dollars, but I wouldn't give my email address. If you are like me, you already get too much junk mail.
