I am doing some closet cleaning on my coin collection. I found five Lincoln cents that are all uncirculated. The years are 37,39-S,40-S,46,and 51. I know that I bought these over twenty years ago from Littleton coin Co, and still have the wrappers that only say that they are Unc. I looked up the values and see a big jump in price from MS60 to MS65. Is it possible that some of these could get a high grade and should be sent out for grading? If I sell these coins I don't want to sell myself short. What would you do?

More than likely, I would not send them in.

Considering that you would be looking at a minimum of $15-20 per coin for grading, do you personally think it would be worth it? If each coin is actually an MS65, then the cost of grading would pretty much be equal to the retail value of the coin, which is a no go in my book.

If youre only doing it to try and make money, no.

If you like having you coins graded, are curious to what theyd grade, and dont mind if you end up down in the end then go for it

Use that same money to buy other coins.
