I have a complete set of Edward V111 coins by type, in uncirculated, that were officially issued for circulation:
British West Africa cupronickel 1/10 Penny
British West Africa cupronickel 1/2 Penny
British West Africa cuprinickel One Penny
East Africa bronze 5 Cents
East Africa bronze 10 Cents
Fiji cupronickel Penny
Territory of New Guinea bronze One Penny.
All seven of the above have a central hole.
Also included in my set is the silver 5 kori of Kutch (India), struck in the name of Edward V111. A silver 2 1/2 Kori was also issued, but I am still looking for that one.
All of these coins are relatively easy to obtain, and are not rare.
Actually, a complete official pattern set of coins in all three metals of Edward V111 was struck by
The Royal Mint. They are excessively rare; being patterns only, they were never intended for issue into circulation.
There a number of privately issued crowns in all metals, but they are too numerous for me to keep up with. My reply is to have one representative coin only for these series.
Lobel's in London has a range of these for sale most of the time. Not my cup of tea.
