Seeing the zinc is the clue it is damage. If it were a Cud it would have the copper plating over it.

The coin probably was dropped at one time years ago. The plating split and the zinc was exposed. The zinc fell off leaving the coin you have. Chuck nailed it with a damaged coin.

Just my luck this entire box of cwr from this new bank I never been to before and I will never go back there was a roll in there from the 80's and had nothing but 88&89 cents in it but because they where poorly taken care of the entire roll was destroyed and it smelled nasty

here is a pic of that roll lol
