Ran across this one. Initally thought PMD... but never seen damage like that. Perhaps struck through? Someones garage experiment? Anyone ever seen one like it? The features of the coin are almost completely flat with what looks like nickel caked on top of them.

It was simply rubbed on a flat surface that was abrasive. The spots where the zinc is showing are all the high spots of the coin. This is nothing more than PMD.
