Do you folks think that the 1837 or so Half Dollars would have been used (on a regular basis.....)in the Republic of Texas (Territory)?

I'm simply interested in buying a few coins that would have been used there at that time. Thanks for any replies!

I would expect Mexican coinage from that era would have been more common.

From what I've read, coinage in general was severely low in supply at the time and didn't circulate much at all in the Republic of Texas anyway. On top of the Mexican coinage reason above.
