is this a fake/copy of 2012 50 cent Titanic - Silver Plated Canadian Coin? the ebay photo of coin does NOT have '50 cents' near rim, like the real RCM coin?

Definitely a fake. Neat/surprising/crazy to see a fake of such a recent coin.

Report the listings like this to ebay ASAP.

Looking at another he sold with the obverse pic, he shows a Fiji issued coin.

Edited because I just noticed Hobbes saw that too :)

How can Fiji Issue a knock off Canadian Coin? It even says Canada on their. This is probably why we cant get our coins, out sourced to Fiji.
Rest in Peace

I'm sure it's not our mint outsourcing to Fiji, but the other way around, Fiji contracting the RCM for their own Titanic coin. Does make it interesting though doesn't it?

I'm pretty sure it is a complete fake - not associated with neither Canada nor Fiji.

Weird. If you're going to sell a fake why not use a real stock picture?

Well he is being HONEST !
showing a real photo of real fake!
If he used stock picture of real RCM 50 cent coin and sent the fake without 50 cents on coin
then he would be Dis-Honest and in deep poop with law & ebay.
Guess we can say he is a HONEST Dis-Honest seller

Well, using a stock picture would make it copyright infringement, fraud, and potentially counterfeiting.

It isn't called a 50 cent piece. Nor is it claimed to be from the RCM. At this point it may only violate ebay's listing rules.

So can a fake/copy coin be circulated?
I think if it was, it would be called counterfeiting.
He has this in title as Silver Plated Canadian Coin...
that is fraud, if it was Canadian Coin then I could spend it at store or bank; correct?

Asked seller: is this a copy of 2012 50 cent Titanic - Silver Plated Canadian Coin made by RCM?
his reply was short: 'This one don't have 50 cent, this is uncirculated'

Don't expect an intelligent response from ebay. IMO they are completely clueless. But that's just me.

They will go after you BIG TIME if you have the word ICCS in your title, or even a grade, but won't do a darn about REAL fakes. There are true aaaaaaaaaaaa (keyboard key stuck).
