Siliquae are seemingly very rare and pricey compared to other coins that were minted during the same time period as they were. I (and surely others!) would like to see the siliquae you have in your collections! I have only one. I must admit that I bought it today and am very excited about it! Arcadius AR Siliqua. 395-402 AD. Obv: D N ARCADIVS P F AVG, pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right Rev: VIRTVS ROMANORVM, Roma seated left on cuirass with Victory on globe and spear, MDPS in ex. Price: $45

I have just one which I posted here a long long time ago. Since the pics are still in "previously downloaded", I don't have to re-download them: Julian II as caesar, DN IVLIANVS NOB CAES, reverse VOTIS V MVLTIS X in wreath. Mintmark TCON, which is Constantia (Arles), rather than Constantinople. Best guess at reference is RIC Arles 256.

Nice coin SAP. I've always got my eye open for a Siliquae. Just nothing yet within my budget.

I forgot to mention that the mint mark MDPS is for the city of Milan. Sap, that is a great looking coin! Good stuff. It is centered nicely with full legends. Siliquae with full legends seem to be super scarce. Not sure why that is...does anyone know?

I have only owned a few. I had to part with them all though during my last lay-ff period. This was likely my best... Magnus Maximus, AR Siliqua Obv:-- D N MAG MAX-IMVS P F AVG, diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right Rev:-- VIRTVS ROMANORVM, Roma enthroned facing, head left, holding globe & spear Minted in Trier (TRPS), A.D. 383-388 Reference:-- RIC IX, 84b1. RSC 20a. Parting with it was tough. Martin
