So the 1997P matte proof nickel has a mintage of 25,000. I have the option of buying one in the Botanical Gardens set for $140.

I am thinking with a mintage this low that it would be a good idea.

I have seen them selling as low as that price with some patient looking or maybe 10 bucks higher but you should examine the coins in the set carefully.
Here was a bargain I suppose for $94.50 to the door.
The silver value of the dollar softens the cost too of getting one in a set. I have one and it is sealed yet.
If I saw this lot earlier, I might have bit on it.

But owning one is probably enough for me.
