One Dollar Error? - Coin Community Forum

larena Valued Member Australia 323 Posts	Posted 06/02/2012 11:18 pm I came across this 2009 one dollar with an incused 'HH' stamped on it , which I thought was PMD but then came across a United Nations 50th Anniversary 20 cents with the same letters raised on it....is one of these an error? trout1105 Pillar of the Community Australia 7096 Posts	Posted 06/02/2012 11:32 pm Horst Hahne designed the 2 dollar coins reverse from a drawing by Ainslie Roberts, thus the hh on the chest of the elder. The hh was only on the coins in 1988 and 1989. it was removed due to concerns from the aboriginal people. From 1990 onwards the hh was removed from the coin. Report this Post to the Staff
