Why spend the money on getting those graded, I ask myself too. But recently I submitted a bunch of coins to NGC for my coin club and a few of the members just wanted to submit something that was of sentimental value to them. Their first coin find, the first coin someone gave them, etc. The value is in the coin and in supporting the club
