I have been looking for a 1921-D Walking Liberty, Slabbed, in VG-8 grade. I used the advance search feature on E-Bay to see what they have been selling for and they ranged from $280.00 to $375.00. They were all NGC, didn't see any from PCGS but maybe I didn't go back far enough. With that price range how do I know what would be a fair price?

They book for the high end of what you quoted but they seem to be fairly easy to find in a vg8 as opposed to vf35 and up for a lower mintage coin.

Yeah, I have found a few, there's 5 on E-bay now. I am just trying to figure what a fair price is. I am thinking about making an offer on 2 of them, one at a time of course.

Sorry if it doesn't line up, but I like to look at these to gauge true FMV!

Particularly the wholesale numbers which show about $285-$310 for it. That would be my target! Last 2 auctions show about $345. Condition makes a big difference IMO as not all 8's look alike!

Good Luck

I understand how VG-8's don't look the same, and I don't have a problem paying a little extra for a better example.

Thanks BuffalosRock
