According to RedBook, 480,748,280 struck and it would have to be a MS-65 to be worth $1.00.

this is a good exercise: so new member MattD2014 has one. I checked my reserves and I have one. So that accounts for two of the 480,748,280 of them. How many of the rest of them do you think are destroyed? still in circulation? still pristine? Any guesses?

The first thing I did after joining this forum was head off to the local Barnes & Noble and pick up a copy of the 2013 Red Book. Best $15 I ever spent. You can get one cheaper if you order online but I am not the most patient person.

Good luck on your journey!
