Mates, please compare the two images and tell me what you think. Same light source, same angle, same crappy samsung mobile photo. I don't want to say anything but give me your thoughts on the differences. Thanks.

Is the lower coin discoloured? If I was to hazard a guess, I'd be inclined to think that a very poor attempt has been made to clean the coin.

The lower coin is toned which most of these coins seem to be. Apologies as I was only trying to get a picture of the finish and not really the details. To me one looks lifeless and dull and the other highly reflective. What could it be?

A famous Australian collector had 3 out of seven of these, struck in gold. All were lost when the owner's house was destroyed in a bushfire.

Top one is a reeded edge "circulation" strike. Bottom one is a plain edge proof.

Is the first one an UNC strike & the 2nd a proof strike ?
The 2nd one just has much more detail in thr actual swan to me.

Seriously? I thought the first one was dipped. Its so lifeless. If that is the case then I only like the flat edge proof. Blah.
