Looks like heavy die scratches, which would make it an interesting, but normal coin.

coppercoins I absolutely trust your answer but jeez -- I find it hard to see through the glare. I was thinking that you could make your determination based upon the pattern of the marks.
I think Lincoln is having an 'out of body' experience. It's probably just a zinc zit with a tail but it looks for the world like a little head and shoulder floating away. LOL

It is a little difficult to see through the glare, but all the signs are there. many roughly parallel lines with some strays, mostly straight, that affect all but the high points on the coin, which would be the lowest points on the die. It's pretty obvious, I guess, to someone who has been going through coins for 3/4 of his life.

I think it's a keeper. Like coppercoins said: it is an interesting coin.
Besides, you now have an example of what die scratches look like.
