I don't normally do this but I thought this box deserved its own thread. Continuing my trend of starting hot and then fading as I got further in to the box, every one of these were found in the first third of the box. (Except the war). I found the following. Dateless V nickel, 1912, 1910, 1907, 1903, 1901, 1900, 1899, 1893, 1889, & 1894. I also found a 1924 Buffalo, a 1943P, and the usual mix of 1938 through 1959. It was a blast...I wish I knew what box was being filled right before the nickel box I had. I really think there is another box with more V nickels. I purchased one more box from the same bank but it was a bust.

Oh, kind of ironic that I had posted about my other V nickel finds about 15 minutes before I started looking at this box. Posted in the nickel thread.

Wow! I don't hunt nickels, but that sounds like a pretty legendary haul! Way to go!

Incredible. Ten V nickels in one box.

I have found 3 total in 274,000 coins searched.

I'll try to get some pic's. I'll warn you now though...they aren't the prettiest V's you've seen. My only means of pictures are my USB Scope and Iphone. I'll try the USB and take some single pictures of a few of the more interesting ones.

Really remarkable on the V nickels. I believe I found 1 from 100,000s of nickels I searched back in the 80s and 90s- when it had a better chance.
