The 1887-S seems to be a commonly found specimen based on the number available through ebay auctions alone. But I liked it so I bought it. Seems to be AU.

The 1872 is actually a nice eye appealing coin and the toning forming along the edges of the rims on the obverse are pleasant viewing. I dont know what grade to give this however because the reverse is fugly compared to the obverse. Thoughts?

I cant really tell from the pictures what those lines on the obverse of the 87S are, looks like scratches from cleaning or something. But I cant really tell.
For a grade for the 87S, not counting whatever those marks are, Id say EF 45
On the 1872, id say VF 30 with a nice full liberty that might make it a 35
