Now that Canadian 1-cent coins are no longer being produced for circulation, maybe ideas like this will become popular in Canada: http://www.interiorholic.com/decora.../#more-10553I don't know if long term wear in heavy traffic areas is an issue, but it might be better to stick to 1-cents prior to the multi-ply plated coins. Of course, coin collectors will cringe every time someone scrubs the floor!! SPP what a fantastic idea. What is the price per square foot? And is that installed or strictly a DIY roll hunters dream. Think I will buy the 1936 dot as my center piece. ;-)

I think that looks great! You'd need a lot of patience to do it though. Would be good in a kitchen, bathroom or laundry room.

I like it! How many square feet of flooring in a bag of '64 cents,SPP? Perhaps all the hoards of modern cents can be put to good use after all. How about nickel flooring ? Sure to add extra value to your home.

I just think it looks durty by laying toned ones with the brillant pieces.Still cheaper than many of the flooring sold today.

I like it!! I am not sure I would like to clean it though. If you spaced tham at say 0.6 inches, you would need about 400 per aquare foot, plus the other materials of course. Not too bad if you don't count the labour.
I think you would need to make a spacing grid first to get your rows straight.

id say a silver dollar floor would be nice too ;) haha, one day when I'm rich my coin showroom will have coin walls and floors :P
I like both nickels and pennies, I just would feel like the floor would always be dirty....therefore not in the bathroom for me

I think I would like this for wall or ceiling accents! Instead of crown molding use Crowns!

I'm way to much of a perfectionist to try something like this. I would end up trying to have them all face the same direction or trying to organize them by date.

I've personally seen something similar with a table top. It was very well done and pretty cool to say the least!!
