I purchased this Morgan with the thought that it might be a little 'under-graded.' Please give your opinions. If I am correct, then I will crack and resubmit the coin. I will reveal the grade tomorrow. Thank you for your thoughts!

I will guess the coin would grade around a MS-63 give or take. This one is a bit harder to grade because the obverse picture is a tad dark and fuzzy. The picture of the reverse looks just fine.

Nice mark free coin. I'm leaning towards MS-65 but photo doesn't show the luster well. I'll call it MS-64 until we see a better photo of the obverse.

I was thinking MS-64 but had a hard time seeing the details and luster on the obverse.

This is def not my area of expertise LOL.. but based upon what I have submitted to TPG in Morgans in the past, I'm going to take a shot at 63, and I bet you feel (like I would too), its a 64. For some reason, I can be totally wrong, but I feel like Morgans in general always are graded lower than I think, and I am usually a tough critic.

OK, here it is...
I was kind of hoping that it might be a MS64. Oh well, at least I didn't over pay for the grade. I'll have to keep trying to improve my Morgan 'grading skills.' I guess I was putting to much 'stock' in the reverse of the coin. Thanks for all of your comments!

TPG's usually weigh the obverse more strongly. For this coin, I think reverse is MS-64+ and obverse is MS-62 to a weak MS-63 so the net grade of MS-63 is reasonable.
If the reverse was a bit scuffed and the obverse were pristine, it would likely have received the MS-64.
