Ok, I know enworb's into hardcore noodling of $5, so I thought I'd give him a hand.

Anyway the results:
First Prefix x 4: 2 x BA06, 1 x BA07 & 1 x BA08
Last Prefix x 4: 1 x EA02 & 3 x HB06
Radar x 1: BC03 657756
Repeater x 1: CI07 295295
Other intersting bits:
Interesting serial (sometimes known as 7-digit radar): BF07188817
Rotatable serial: BG07 606909 (turn it around...I dare ya)
Interesting serial (central repeater): CJ06546540
3 x 1998
1 x 1995
283 x squat

But overall, fairly decent results given a radar amongst the bunch.

Enworb, get onto your $3,000 of $5's.

You had a good run there. Some very interesting serials and you cant look past a radar.

I especially like the 606909.

Take yours eyes off them for a second Goatie and they will be mine

You just know id love any and all of those interesting serials.

I noodled NZ notes today after I got them from the money exchange ready for my trip. I found one high serial but that was it.

Mr T; the 95 was gVF or above (a really well kept note), the 98's were all around F (they'd all seen better days).

goatieman, I noodled through $250 of $5 notes today and only came up with a BA07 first signature prefix. Earliest note was an 02, nothing special.

Went through another $1,500 of $5's after work yesterday & my findings were:

First Prefix x 2: 1 x BA06, 1 x BA07
Last Prefix x 4: 3 x HB06, 1 x HB07
Other intersting bits:
High serial: CJ07 999568
Interesting serials: (sometimes known as 7-digit radar): DJ07713177
Close to solid: EM06 555575
What someone called runners; downwards:
CC06 416415 & FB06 531530
Part ladders:
CK06 444567 & EI06 667866
Other interesting looking serials: CM07733373 & CK07 988778
Oldies but goodies: 1 x 1992 Pale pink, 1 x 1995, 1996, 1997
286 x squat (not including half of the squat I listed above)

I swear...sometimes I just waste too much time, although some people like to read a book, some like to play video games, watch a movie...my RELAXATION is simply noodling notes.

Will I get over...I can't be sure.

I get the whole radar note number thing, but what else are you looking for with serial numbers on notes?

Read what goatieman has put up above. Looking at serials on notes is very interesting. Radar's, runners', high's, low's, first prefix, last prefix.
