There is a Tilden Park golf course and an Indian Valley golf course in California, and also a town - Palo Alto in California too. Interesting find. I wonder how it ended up on the other side of the world.

That's pretty interesting.

It's kind of amazing that anyone bothered to save it ...unless they were professional golfers or something. I wouldn't know. But the dates kind of make me think they met up only a couple of times a year -- and perhaps the last winner held onto it because another match was expected.

Thanks for sharing.

It is strange what people will keep for the sentiment .. saying that I have had a offer on it and it will be heading back to the usa to a top dime collector .. so it just shows you

I wonder if this is the company who made the label

I think that is the same company and the page you linked has a link to that company.

You could post them to find out....maybe they're interested too! You could start a bidding war. LOL

Tilden is in Berkeley, CA and Palo Alto is about 30 miles south of San Francisco and both can be played in January. What's most amazing is someone drove a ball over 390 yards with persimmon woods in 1959!
