Quarter Stamped As Nickel? Need Experts Review

Jessicalynn New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 06/18/2012 10:08 pm I have a quarter that looks like it was stamped on a nickel. but it has a copper lip and is not rough edged. it weighs a little less than I nickel by like .6 grams. papatony Pillar of the Community United States 808 Posts	Posted 06/18/2012 10:12 pm The pics are a bit blurry but it looks like what they call a " Dryer Coin", they get stuck in some part of a coin opperated or even a home dryer and just roll around for a long time and this happens. Common and not an error so no premium.If you can get some clearer pics it would be helpfull. Report this Post to the Staff

I would suspect it is something like a Dryer Coin as suggested above. It is damage that happened sometime after it left the Mint. It's worth 25 cents. Report this Post to the Staff
