I have a quarter that looks like it was stamped on a nickel. but it has a copper lip and is not rough edged. it weighs a little less than I nickel by like .6 grams. I would like to know more about what I have here

The pics are a bit blurry but it looks like what they call a " Dryer Coin", they get stuck in some part of a coin opperated or even a home dryer and just roll around for a long time and this happens. Common and not an error so no premium. If you can get some clearer pics it would be helpfull.

If you see copper showing on the edge, then that rules out the possibility of it being struck on a nickel planchet since nickels lack a copper core. I would suspect it is something like a Dryer Coin as suggested above. It is damage that happened sometime after it left the Mint. It's worth 25 cents.
