Besides the slash in the hair ( wear and tear or die error?) the cotton is visible, hair line is good and face Liberty is visible. I love Morgans, they are gorgeous.

That's a staple scratch. Unfortunately, it's considered damaged and not-market acceptable by the grading companies.

Morgans can be very pretty coins. They're extremely plentiful in all grades for most dates so they should be pretty affordable in problem-free condition.

I have an 1890 O that is in much better condition. So is this coin worth keeping to pass down to my daughter, or better to sell it for silver price?

All Morgan dollars are worth saving. The two coins you have pictured do not have a great deal of value above silver, but by hanging on to them you will have a good hedge against inflation. Your daughter will be a very happy to have these some day.

I have them pretty much every year going back the 1878 7TF. I don't have any CCs in the collection, but I'd love to add to the collection for her. She will be 2 on July 4th, so I am hoping to get her into coins at a young age!
