Updates:

I emailed the seller:

Dear dq59,

Hi dq59!

FYI: your 1877 IHC you have listed is a very obvious fake. Your listing is illegal and you could face some very serious legal consequences...

I'm just trying to help you.

God bless.

Moe

His response today back to me.

Dear moe145,

I dont know about this coin. My dad and grandpa were coin collectors and both are deceased. They collected in the 50s and 60s and this was in the collection. I got my info from other ebay coins I have seen listed. I will take it off I was not aware of any of this thank you

Fine print: "Less than 1/2 in. in size."
Technically, I guess it isn't a fake--only miscategorized?

It's ebay man, who doesn't have 100%. The way things work on ebay the ratings dont really mean anywhere near as much as you'd hope.... in my opinion, honestly, they're next to useless. Especially with buying collectibles.

Someone should let them know that they do not have what they think they have. I don't think they are coin collectors and they think they have something they don't.

I think whoever saved that thing just liked collecting oddball tokens.

If that coin is the correct size, then those staples are what is really rare. He should be selling those rare staplbes instead of whatever that thing is inside the flip.

looks like the seller pulled the auction so I am guessing someone brought it to his attention that it wasn't real
