Nice & natural ( not )

If they are worth that much I wonder how much a really naturally toned coins straight out of a roll like these would be worth.

I'm sure you'll appreciate this coin more than that polished c@#p. PCGS MS66RB, one of 2 at the highest graded both with beautiful rainbow tones. All I have is the pic, these babies live in he bank vault -humour me I miss them.

I have opened the link but not yet inspected the listings.

always rings an alarm bell with me.

PS. Inspected listings and expect will get no bids -starting price is about two orders of magnitude too high. This seller has had a lot of similar coins listed. I suspect some sort of dip. A molecular layer of a copper salt will probably cause that effect.
I will think about that; wonder what copper salt is (nearly) clear, instead of blue or green? Then it is only a matter of dipping in the appropriate, dilute acid for a few minutes.

I really like the colour of that halfpenny Shaden but is it natural ? I've seen a lot of coloured coins but never seen a copper coin with that electric blue,I've seen colours close to that on silver coins but never copper.

PP,always love seeing your coloued coins as I know you have some rippers

What I find suspicious is the fact the the toning stops when it gets near high relief areas...

my first thought was "I wonder what dip this bloke is using ?" - bearing in mind that I'm not into dipping, just curious.

Secondly, regarding the 1964 pennies: I remember when these first appeared in circulation - I was eight y.o. - they were pinkish-red at the start. Of course, 1964 had the least circulation of any pennies, being withdrawn early in 1966.
The first and second of AppleAngel's 1964s are exactly as they would have appeared if he had unrolled them in 1964.

You've been hitting the rolls hard lately apple.

I picked up a Melbourne 1964 penny with rainbow toning last week which is unusual because its usually Perth with the rainbow. I'm not 100% sure its natural but its fairly convincing.
