Secondly:I am not sure but it looks like it could be struck through a sliver of copper off another coin.

I had a wheat that had the struck through piece of copper and a matching gouge on the same coin.

Awww...I bet they are related. Cousins is my guess, maybe even siblings. Stranger things than that in the world!

A rim burr is pretty much just a strike through anyway. It's an interesting error especially for
a circulation find.

Nice rim burr. I have found several of these on halves but I have never found one on a cent.
