Ummmm .... I think that they are mine?

My great, great, great .......... great, great Grandfather told a story about how he accidentally forgot his bag of rings and if anybody every finds them, they should please return them to him/us/me ...

There, hopefully that's fairly straight-forward ... I await your quick reply

NOTE => there is a $45 reward for their safe-return

wrong hoard, these weren't in a bag, they were in a ceramic jug. Looks like you will still have to wait for his to be found by someone else

WWII: When the Japanese Soldiers enter Indonesia (at that time Netherlands Indie), they confiscated all metals and rubber tires. A lot of people buried or through silver coins in to the septic tanks. Many people got killed, or forgot where they exactly buried the coins. From time to time people found silver coins and washed them. Many are in AU or UNC condition, some of them has black and green copper crust at face, mostly at the edges. I am sure that happened in other Asian Countries too.

Oh, that's where I left my ceramic jug.... It's been ages....

@samuel tan: Great, now I'll never want to own any Indonesian WWII-era coinage.

Libertad,
Great, since there is no WWII Indonesian coin, the country was founded after. I am talking about Dutch silver coins, they are legal tender in Nederland Indie until the end of the war. After I washed them it looks and smells good :). The 2 1/2 Gulden is as big as Morgan dollars and the 1 Gulden is between new Dollar and Half Dollar.
